On the 20th of May 2022, we attended a Candlelight event at Phiri hall with other Region D Stakeholders.
Sister Confidence Mokoena (Operations manager, Tladi Skills Centre): "Candlelight 2022 was not only
about shining a light on those who passed from HIV, but also those we have lost from COVID-19.
Although HIV was our core focus, community members should always remember that there are other
infections that exist. Our goal is to host these kind of events in order to raise awareness and educate the
community.”
- Glucose and blood pressure testing, cholesterol, use of a validated exercise prescription tool.
- Information session: Panel of health professionals engage with local community on obesity and related health challenges.
